Case Studies
As an Innovate UK Monitoring Officer, I provide independent, expert oversight and support to publicly funded innovation projects. My work ensures that projects meet expectations across delivery, risk, financial control, and impact, in alignment with national innovation and public health strategies.
Food and Nutrition
Innovate UK food case studies span competitions including Better Food for All, Diet and Health Innovation, Novel Low-Emission Food Production, Transforming Food Production, sustainable packaging challenges, and regional Agri-Food Launchpads — covering nutrition innovation, sustainable systems, and health-led food R&D from feasibility to commercial scale.
Health and Care
Innovate UK’s Health & Care competions include the Biomedical Catalyst (R&D grants for therapeutics, diagnostics, devices and digital health), SBRI Healthcare challenge competitions (addressing NHS unmet needs(, Contracts for Innovation for commissioned health solutions, and Investor Partnerships combining grant and private investment for scaling health technologies — spanning early feasibility through to late-stage clinical and commercial development.
I have also collaborated with several organisations—Scarlett Therapeutics, Adora Digital Health Ltd, Ellescope Ltd, Vegetable Consultancy Services (UK) Limited, and Bloume Health Ltd—who have preferred not to be included as case studies at this stage. In several instances, projects are still in active development, pursuing further funding rounds, or progressing intellectual property and patent applications; others are operating in commercially sensitive or pre-publication phases and therefore requested confidentiality until their innovations are further advanced.

With proven expertise spanning clinical and food innovation, women’s health, digital therapeutics, and public–private partnerships, I bring a strong track record in managing complex, multi-stakeholder portfolios on behalf of Innovate UK - collaborating with NHS ICBs, universities, biotech firms, and medtech SMEs. I have a deep understanding of UKRI compliance, policy alignment, and the delivery of translational impact across research and innovation programmes.
